Agape Construction Receives BBB TORCH Award
St. Louis, Mo., October 3, 2023 – Agape Construction is a 2023 Better Business Bureau (BBB) TORCH Award winner for BBB Serving Eastern & Southwest Missouri & Southern Illinois.

The TORCH Awards recognize organizations that exemplify high ethics in their treatment of customers, employees and suppliers. Nine St. Louis region businesses are being recognized in 2023.
“These organizations are role models for other businesses and nonprofits in the community. They have truly committed themselves to BBB’s mission to advance marketplace trust, and are making a positive impact on their customers and communities,” said Michelle Corey, BBB St. Louis President and CEO.
Founded in 1985, Agape Construction provides high-quality, custom design and build work to clients across the greater St. Louis area. Their team includes in-house architects, interior designers, carpenters and more to meet a variety of home construction needs.

“I consider the TORCH Award to be the most prestigious award that we can receive. It recognizes and honors the values that we hold true,” said Kevin O’Brien, co-founder and professional engineer.
The company has previously won TORCH Awards in 2013 and 2018. O’Brien said the award “provides instant credibility for those who do not know us, for it is awarded by the BBB, the nation’s premier watchdog.”
Agape Construction and other TORCH Award winners – along with two Student of Ethics award winners – were recognized at the BBB TORCH Awards reception and luncheon on Tuesday, October 3 at the Missouri Athletic Club. NASA astronaut and Navy test pilot Susan Kilrain was the keynote speaker; Maurice Drummond, KMOV-TV morning anchor, emceed the event.
The Dave Mungenast Family of Dealerships was the underwriting sponsor for the 2023 BBB St. Louis TORCH Awards. Caleres, Drury Hotels and Nestlé Purina PetCare were the event’s Student of Ethics sponsors. Lewis Rice was a contributing sponsor.
