Agape team

At Agape Construction, we pride ourselves in providing outstanding quality of work, attention to detail and dedication to each homeowner. Agape strives to be the most trusted and ethical builder in the area. One aspect that reflects our high standards is our staff’s longevity! We aim to create an environment in which staff are proud to work and can accomplish great things, all to the betterment of our community!  We would like to celebrate our Agape team members who have been with us for ten years or more!

Ted O’Toole -Chief Operating Officer / Sales & Design Manager – 20 years

Ted attended Ranken Technical college before being hired directly from school by Agape owner and founder Kevin O’Brien in Jan. of 2002. He started as an apprentice carpenter before moving into the office as an estimator. He then moved back out into the field and ran a framing crew until 2009. Ted was brought back into the office to sell small projects that he also produced as the lead carpenter and Project manager.

In 2010, Ted assisted in Project management while growing his sales from $286,000 to over 3.2 million in 2014 and continued to grow each year after that. In 2015, Ted was promoted to the Sales / Design / Selections manager overseeing 2 salespeople, 1 selections person, 3 CAD designers and 1 Architect. Ted was very successful in that role, taking sales in 2015 from 6.25 million to 13.89 million in 2021.

In 2019, Ted was introduced as the new COO at Agape Construction!

When not working at Agape, Ted enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 boys (11, 8 and 5) and enjoys watching his boys play Hockey, ATV / dirt bike Trail riding, and messing with 4×4 vehicles. He is also a fan of the Blues and Cardinals!

Pat Kelly -Production Manager – 20 years

Pat Kelly has been a part of the Agape team for 20 years! He attended Ranken Technical college in 2000-2001 and received his Associates degree in technology – with an emphasis in carpentry. He began his career at Agape as an apprentice carpenter and became a lead framing carpenter within 3 ½ years. He was promoted to Project Manager at age 29 in 2011 and became Agape’s Production Manager in 2015.

Pat was nominated and awarded the 40 under 40 in professional remodeler magazine in 2017!

Outside of work, Pat keeps busy as a volunteer coach for two of his kids’ hockey teams and he volunteers at his daughter’s dance studio for props. He loves getting to spend that time with his kids.

Brian Kelly – Project Manager – 19 years

Brian Kelly was hired as a laborer by the owner, Kevin, after an interview at his old office/home location. He worked his way up the company ladder from Laborer to Apprentice Carpenter, Journeyman, Lead Carpenter, and now Project Manager. He has spent many years at Agape and has had his ups and downs, but this is something he has always loved doing. Brian shows great passion from the start of a job’s initial excavation or demo to the framing (his favorite phase, still to this day), trim, and to the completion of every project. He feels that he has been lucky to have had and continues to have great co-workers, employees, mentors, teachers, and owners to work alongside with and that is something he will always greatly appreciate.

On the personal side, Brian has a wonderful girlfriend of 11 years, Francesca, and two phenomenal boys Brady (18) and Liam (14). They have a great little home with two cats, a dog, and a lizard. His family loves their animals and since Francesca works as a Veterinary Technician, they always have a furry guest or two surprisingly popping up at home to stay over and be cared for. They love outdoors adventures such as riding ATV’s, hiking, kayaking, and camping. Brian is also a big English Premier League fan and a huge Liverpool FC supporter.

“They have supported me throughout everything. Through my mistakes and learning, to my growth and opportunity. This continued through my enlistment in the United States Marine Corps Reserves at a time of war when deployment and time away was a must. They always had a place for me to come back to and be a part of. Working here has been like working with family, and working with my brother has been natural, trying, awesome, and inspiring,” Brian Kelly.

Jhun Mundin – Carpenter – 18 years

Jhun started working at Agape as a Laborer and enjoyed that position for nearly ten years. He was then moved into the position of Carpenter. He is well liked and well respected by all his peers and many customers have mentioned him by name as being a great guy and a great representative of Agape.

In his off time, Jhun manages a kabob tent at festivals all around the St. Louis area during festival season. Many people have seen him around at local festivals and enjoy his kabobs!

Dave started working construction in 1978, involved in mostly industrial and commercial projects. He switched to residential, single family new construction in the mid 80’s. He built new subdivisions in St. Louis and the St. Charles area. When new home sales slowed, he moved to remodeling work.

Dave joined Agape Construction as a lead carpenter in 1998 and moved from his hometown of Ste. Genevieve to Fenton.

In this role she is primarily responsible for managing the company’s finances, overseeing Administration, Accounting and Marketing. Janice enjoys improving systems and procedures that allow Agape to operate more efficiently.

“Looking back, it is amazing to see how much the company has grown and changed over the past 15 years. Agape is a close-knit family and I enjoy working with all the wonderful employees here. It has been fun to follow our customer’s projects to completion and see that their dreams have become reality,” Janice Owens.

When not at work, Janice relishes the time she can spend with her family and friends.

Jon Naum – Project Manager 11 years

Jon began his career in the industry straight after high school. In fact, he had to take a day off work to attend his High School graduation! He worked at a couple of jobs before starting his career at Agape 11 years ago. Jon started as a carpenter, worked his way up to lead carpenter and is now a Project Manager. He enjoys the family atmosphere at Agape, “it is a place where everyone cares for each other and looks after each other.”  Jon enjoys collaborating with clients on design aspects. It is fun to have clients that are excited about doing something special with their home.
